More than two years ago, the husband of the legendary tennis player Serena Williams, Alexis Ohanian, invested in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) team Angel City FC. Ohanian is an active spokesperson for women’s sports and has been so for quite some time now.

In 2020, Ohanian decided to put his money where his mouth is and become one of the major investors in Angel City FC. However, before making this investment, Ohanian sought out the advice of USWNT star Alex Morgan.

Morgan had the perfect response to Ohanian’s question, saying “I can help you with that”. Ohanian then replied, “DM please!” Following this interaction with Morgan, Alexis Ohanian became an investor in Angel City FC. It’s unclear if this conversation with Morgan had any influence on Ohanian’s decision, but it’s still an amazing story.
