Every sport has talented players and legends. But, there come a few names that define the sport. NBA had Michael Jordan; LeBron James and Stephen Curry are changing the game in front of everyone, the NFL had Tom Brady and soccer had Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The GOATs of the sport are known worldwide by almost everyone, even if someone isn’t a sports fan. NFL has just witnessed one of the greatest careers in the sport’s history come to an inevitable end. This is one thing that saddens every sports fan; watching a legendary athlete saying goodbye to their sport.

There are times when big names come back for retirement to play again, to compete again. The competitive nature of the greats pulls them back to the game. Michael Jordan is the most notable case of a similar storyline. The undisputed NBA GOAT had retired two times, only to come back and show everyone he still got the skills a couple of years later before actually calling it off in the third attempt. NFL GOAT Tom Brady had also come back from retirement once.

When Tom Brady met Cristiano Ronaldo

After playing in the NFL for a season post-retirement, yesterday Brady took the gear for real. He announced his retirement and insinuated that he is retired for good. However, after his retirement, ESPN posted a photo from last year when the NFL legend met soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. That photo had since sent sports fans into a frenzy as Tom Brady came out of retirement after a couple of days. Here are a few reasons from the fans:

Tom Brady retired from the NFL in Feb 2022, leaving his fans in tears and disbelief. However, before the season 2022 began, he came back to play for Tampa Bay Buccaneers for one last season. His return to the NFL pitch, however, wasn’t smooth sailing and his 23rd season was the rockiest ever both on and off the field.
