Conor McGregor Raises the Roof for US Soccer Star as He Joined UFC Superstar’s Agency After USMNT Debut

The US is now filled with quite a few good upcoming soccer players for the future. Every fan who has an eye for spotting raw and natural will appreciate them. Conor McGregor recently appreciated one of US soccer’s brightest upcoming stars. Sports management company Paradigm Sports managed to get hold of the fullback and will now handle all his accounts.

The Irish MMA fighter recognized what a tremendous deal this was and was humble enough to publicly appreciate the same.

Conor McGregor welcomes a future USMNT star!

Conor McGregor is a living legend in himself. The MMA legend has reached such a point where he needs no introduction. Recently, Paradigm Sports announced their deal with Jonathan Gomez. Jonathan Gomez is a young left-back who is rapidly rising through the ranks. Having just made two appearances for the USMNT, the sports management firm has snapped up the opportunity to manage the upcoming American soccer star directly.

Conor McGregor had all the appreciation in the world for Gomez. He reposted Paradigm Sports’ post in which they announced the deal on his story. The MMA legend wrote, “HUGE! Congrats @_jonathan.gomez”. McGregor straightaway upped the bar by concluding with, “#TheFutureisNOW”.

The sports management firm welcomed the USMNT future star for ‘full-service’ representation. Paradigm Sports’ CEO, Audie Attar also welcomed Gomez to the new beginning. Attar commented, “Welcome to the team @_jonathan.gomez!”. Paradigm Sports is currently one of the biggest sports management companies out there. It’s important to remember that Paradigm Sports initially started to poach talent from the NFL, and they gradually transitioned to the MMA.

The sports management firm is now looking to establish itself in the soccer universe. Without a doubt, announcing their deal with Jonathan Gomez would have proved to be a boost for both the player and the company.

Who is Jonathan Gomez?

Jonathan Gomez is one of the very few players who has represented Mexico and America both at the youth level. At the age of 19, the star fullback currently plays soccer in Spain. The USMNT youngster worked his way up through FC Dallas’ youth ranks. He moved to North Texas SC on loan for a season. In 2020, Louisville City FC was the first team to show faith in the star fullback and offer him his first-ever professional contract. In one and only season at the club, Gomez played 36 games and managed to score two goals.

After the season, he was named the 2021 USL Championship Young Player of the Year. Just a season later, the US soccer star was off to Spain. Gomez is still yet to make his senior debut for the Spanish soccer giants. After making a couple of appearances in America and Mexico’s youth teams, the star fullback made his debut for the USMNT in 2021. Since then, Gomez has also played a game for Mexico but is now likely to represent the USMNT permanently after getting his second cap a few days ago in 2023.
