PSG star defender Achraf Hakimi is making the news for reasons beyond soccer. He is going through tough times outside the soccer pitch. The relationship with his wife and Spanish actress Hiba Abouk is beyond repair, and she filed for divorce. In her divorce petition, Abouk has demanded half of the possessions of the Moroccan soccer star. 

However, the move made by Hakimi a few years back has caught the attention of the UFC star Francis Ngannou. He praised the PSG star for it. Even another UFC superstar, Israel Adesanya, had previously praised the Moroccan. The move left the Spanish actress stunned when the court made her know the reality.

 Abouk, who is 12 years older than Hakimi, filed for divorce with him recently. She demanded half of the possessions of the Hakimi in her divorce petition, as per the French magazine First Mag. Meanwhile, recent reports claim that the court has let the actress know that Hakimi owns nothing, as all his property is in his mother’s name. 

The Twitter handle News 24/7 reported it. Ngannou replied to the tweet, praising the former Real Madrid star. UFC star replied, “Master class. The one and only Achraf Hakimi.” Adesanya also earlier praised the PSG defender for having all his possessions in the name of his mother. He tweeted, “💕♟️” in reply to the reports.

Hakimi is the sixth-highest-earning African player. His mother controls 80% of the reported net worth of $24 million of the PSG star. The brief marriage of Hakimi and Abouk could have resulted in Hakimi giving $8.5 million to his wife. Hakimi earns around $1 million a month at PSG.

A sizeable chunk of his salary, $215,000 per week, goes straight to his mother’s account. He has no property, cars, jewelry, or houses in his name. Reports claim his mother makes purchases for him. It seems to be a masterstroke from the soccer star to have all his fortune in his mother’s name.
