Bruno Fernandes ‘Frustrated’ and ‘Disappointed’ by Manchester United Exit From Carabao Cup

Believe it or not, Manchester United are yet to win a trophy with Ole at the wheel. The United manager has always had the excuse of not having a competitive team as the reason for the lack of trophies. However, with the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo, Raphael Varane, and Jadon Sancho this summer, the pressure for a winner’s medal has never been higher at Old Trafford. Although, it was none of the above in the headlines light night, as Bruno Fernandes lied at the heart of the action.
Despite having a world-class team at his disposal now, United have once again succumbed to surprise losses. Last week, the Red Devils lost their Champions League opener against Young Boys, in dramatic style. Now, they fell victim to an early exit from the Carabao Cup, as West Ham beat the Manchester side 0-1.

“Time to reflect” – Bruno Fernandes expresses disappointment on Manchester United’s surprise exit from Carabao Cup
Last night, West Ham defeated Manchester United by a single goal, thus eliminating United from the Carabao Cup. Both the teams fielded their second choice teams, but the Hammers edged past United, thanks to an early goal from Manuel Lanzini.
Among the thoroughly disappointed was Manchester United midfielder, Bruno Fernandes, who took to Twitter to express his emotions. “Really frustrating and disappointing to be out of one of the competitions at such an early stage… Time to reflect, to improve and to fight hard for the other competitions. #mufc,” he tweeted.

As the match entered Fergie time, Ole would’ve desperately wanted a player like him on the field. Much to the Norwegian’s displeasure, the team ended up on the losing side. Despite that, the last minutes weren’t short of drama.

At the dying moments of the match, Bruno tried to pull off a cheeky move to score a goal. Following a Hammers drop ball, Fernandes nicked in ahead of his opponent and raced towards Goal, and put the ball inside the net. Obviously, it didn’t count. Cheeky, nonetheless.
