Christian Pulisic has had a relatively bad time at Chelsea as his time in the English Premier League has been marred by injuries. However, he has shown the spark he has every time he does get to play, and the €60 million that Chelsea paid for him seems like a great deal.

He made his return to Chelsea’s pre-season friendly against London rivals Arsenal. He was fantastic in the game and made some great passes to help Chelsea beat Arsenal 2-1 in the end. Kai Havertz and Tammy Abraham scored for the Blues while Granit Xhaka got Arsenal’s solitary goal.

This pass over the top from Pulisic is just one of the many times the young forward showed his class. Tuchel tried him out in the right-wing back role for this game, and the experiment succeeded.

It was a great game from Pulisic’s point of view too, who will enjoy the minutes he is getting. Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has a lot of options at his disposal but Christian Pulisic will be in the front of the queue from him after this display.

He was injured during the season, but he still featured in the final days of Chelsea’s incredible 2020/21 campaign. He played a huge part in the club’s UEFA Champions League final.
