After winning two World Cups and three Olympic medals, the USWNT team is about to enter its rebuilding phase. The Golden Generation seems to be fading as new soccer stars are coming to the forefront. Megan Rapinoe, Carli Lloyd, and Alex Morgan have been the stars of the team. However, Lloyd will retire soon leaving a huge gap to fill. But in terms of goal scoring, Alex Morgan is close as well. In the meantime, Cristiano Ronaldo from Portugal entered the all-time top 10 list of goal scorers for international teams.

Scoring 111 goals, Ronaldo is tied with Morgan but is placed on top having played three games fewer than her. Both of them occupy the 9th position on the table.

Morgan and Ronaldo are both players who influence matches with their magical technique and determination.

There are no other players who come from the bench and provide the sort of impact that Alex Morgan does. She has scored important goals in different stages of her career. The 2012 London Olympics in fact may be her biggest contribution. During the semi-finals against Canada, she scored a stunning header in the 123rd minute to win the match for the USA. After that, she went on and assisted Carli Lloyd’s goal against Japan in the final. She is a big-game player. No doubt in that.
