Halep withdrew from the Italian Open after suffering a muscle injury during her match against old rival and three-time Grand Slam winner Angelique Kerber and later pulled out of the French Open as well, citing more time for a full recovery.
However, she recently shared a clip of herself having a hit on synthetic turf and moving into her trademark forehands with no visible signs of discomfort.

She tagged her post with a message saying she was delighted to announce her return to tennis after being on the sidelines for three-and-a-half weeks. The 29-year-old revealed that the few weeks that she was out of action made it seem like she had been gone from the game forever.
Halep reached the Stuttgart semis this year, her best performance on clay
With a cheery “hi” and a broad smile, Halep said she is “super excited” to be returning to action at Bad Homburg after a disappointing spell on the sidelines.
Though not conceived as a marquee event that attracts a wealth of talent from the women’s game, the event, in its first edition, will present her with an opportunity to pick up some wins on grass and go into Wimbledon with a good bit of belief and confidence.
