Tiafoe didn’t have an ideal start to the 2021 season. At the Australian Open, the 23-year-old lost to eventual champion Novak Djokovic despite taking a set off the Serb.
However, he made a dream start to his outing at Wimbledon. By defeating current World No. 3 Stefanos Tsitsipas in the first round, he scored his first win over a player in the Top 5. Although the World No. 51 suffered a third-round exit to Karen Khachanov, he built momentum with decent results in hard court tournaments.
