The last few years haven’t been great for Canadian star Eugenie Bouchard. After reaching a career-high ranking of World No. 5, she experienced a massive drop in form that caused her to move out of the top 300.
Fortunately, over the last 6 months, Genie has found some form and was able to improve her ranking to No. 116. Motivated by this success, the Canadian has made major changes to her diet and training.

As part of her new diet plan, Bouchard is now focusing on eating as healthy as possible. For breakfast, she eats eggs, some fruits, oatmeal, and sometimes, bacon.
Moving onto lunch, the Canadian is focusing on eating complex carbohydrates in the form of pasta and brown rice. She also has vegetables, legumes, and even fish to give her the protein she needs.

Clearly, Bouchard is eating extremely healthy. However, a good nutrition plan needs to be complemented by a good training plan and Genie has a great one.
In the morning, right after breakfast, she hits the courts for 2 hours of training. After this, she takes a break for lunch and trains for another 2 hours. As if this weren’t enough, she ends her day with another 2 hours, which is mainly focused on her endurance. What an intense training plan!

Preparation for matches
When the Canadian is playing a tournament, she often eats very little as she gets nervous. This has affected her on-court performance, which is why she is rectifying it. Now, in addition to her usual meals, she eats 5 bananas and even protein bars on tournament days to give her all the energy she needs to play her best.
