“We Kind of Concentrate on Negative Things”- Naomi Osaka Opens up on Toxic Behaviour on Social Media

The Japanese ace Naomi Osaka spoke about the impact of social media in her life, and she shared her perspective on it. Earlier, she was into the negative aspects of it, now she has takes the positives from social media.
A few weeks ago, she tweeted: “You know what I wanna say thank you guys and hope you’re having a good day today. I’ve been focusing so much on the negative side of social media. I forget there are actually positive people on these apps too. Love you.”
Recently, she was in conservation with Tennis Channel. The Japanese mentioned social media as a medium to connect with her fans. However, World Number 10 Osaka revealed it doesn’t bring anything good.

“I feel like we kind of concentrate on negative things and not too much on positive things. In the end, I hope everyone had a good day, and not too much negativity in the area or the space of being,” Naomi Osaka said.
“For me, I just use it to connect my fans. Honestly, at this point in time, it doesn’t benefit me at all, like mentally. I just catch up with the interaction that I can get with my fans,” she added.

On Friday, Osaka clarified the difference between nationality and ethnicity. She often receives questions, based on the two topics. She calls herself to be “black and Asian” as she was born to a Japanese mother and Haitian father.
