Tom Brady helped change the course for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. When Brady arrived in Tampa, the franchise had been struggling for years, and there were questions about Brady himself.
At the time, he was 43 years old and looking like he was beginning to slow down. However, the world learned why one should never underestimate Brady. He was able to lead the Buccaneers to great success on and off the field.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers went from #28 all the way to #1 between 2019 to 2020 in terms of merchandise sales from Fanatics.com, one of the official resellers of NFL merchandise.

This marks a 1200% increase over the course of 1 year, the biggest in the history of the website. Despite the Buccaneers having great players in their team, a majority of their popularity was because of the arrival of Tom Brady.
Brady left New England in 2020 for a multitude of reasons. Primarily, it was a contract dispute that drove Brady away from the Patriots. However, one of the other factors that convinced him to move elsewhere was Bill Belichick.
Fans and critics had always slighted Brady’s success, noting that he wouldn’t have won all his titles or have the success that he enjoyed without Bill Belichick.

Tom Brady finds new life in Tampa Bay
Brady then arrived in Tampa Bay. Prior to his arrival, the Buccaneers had been one of the worst teams in the league. The Bucs hadn’t reached the Playoffs in years. However, Brady saw something in the roster they had and felt that he could win with them.
He then went on to bring in some other players whom everyone felt had reached their peak, but Brady felt otherwise. Players like Rob Gronkowski and Antonio Brown got a second wind in the NFL in Tampa Bay.

With Brady at the helm, the Buccaneers experienced some growing pains at the start. However, as time went on, the Buccaneers developed strong chemistry. They were able to rally together during the final stretch of the season to a wildcard spot.
