The USA has announced the official team of high jumpers in the Olympics 2020, in Tokyo. One of the most exciting events in the Olympics is that of track and field. Indeed, watching the athletes leap to rise above a crossbar is exhilarating!
Having won the highest number of medals in Athletics, at Rio de Janeiro, Summer Olympics 2016, the USA seems to strive with an incredibly talented team of high jumpers.
American high jumpers to rise and shine in Tokyo

The team comprises young and talented athletes. JuVaughn Harrison, a 22-year-old athlete with the personal best of clearing 2.33 meters at one of the recent events, helped him cross the qualifying mark for the Olympics with ease.

Overcoming the same mark, Darryl Sullivan serves as another potential asset for the American athletic team. Having backed the first position at Indoor USTFCCCA in 2019, the 23-year-old seems to look positive to give yet another remarkable performance at Tokyo, this July.
Shelby McEwen secured the first position at the All-American outdoor and indoor high jump (2018). He also participated in the same tournament in the year 2019. It is now expected that he will showcase some of his best jumps at the Summer Olympics this month.

Cunningham to make another appearance at Olympics 2020

Let’s look at the women’s category. Vashti Cunningham, a one-time Olympian, managed to secure the 13th position at the Summer Olympics in 2016.
Her World Championship experience has been outstanding, winning the bronze medal in 2019, a silver in 2018, as well as gold in 2016. This can be a huge source of encouragement for her journey ahead in Tokyo Olympics 2020.
