The swimming competitions in the Olympics are one of the most-watched events in the world. The Tokyo Olympics 2021 will start on July 23rd under strict lockdown protocols. The games will take place behind closed doors for the entirety of the event.

After 5 years of training hard to pursue their dreams, new legends and icons will be on full display in Japan. While Michael Phelps was a legend of the sport, one man has come up to take over that mantle.

To sum up, Caeleb Dressel is the star man in this year’s Olympic event. Under those circumstances, a new promotional video for the Olympics has arrived, and Dressel is a big part of it.

No other animated characters have taken the world apart like the Minions. After the successful movie called ‘Despicable Me’, the minions got their own spinoff which proved to be well received.

Significantly, Caeleb Dressel and Simone Biles featured in the promotional video of the US Olympic team heading to Tokyo. NBC’s new commercial funnily depicts Dressel enjoying his time with the minions, rather than practicing for the Olympics.

While he talked about preparing for the event, one minion came aside to him and had some fun while disrupting his practice.

Soon after that, Dressel joined the party and jumped into the pool by doing a cannonball. The commercial has its humorous side to it while the athletes focus on working out for the events. Likewise, Simone Biles appears in the video by signing an autograph for a minion.

The Chief Marketing Officer for NBC, Jenny Storms, spoke about how they incorporated sports and entertainment to create an amusing video.

“It was a natural idea to bring together the best of U.S. and these global animated icons for surprise-and-delight moments with Simone Biles and Caeleb Dressel,” said Storms.

The 2020 Tokyo Olympics is expected to be an important event for Dressel. He is taking part in 50-m freestyle, 100-m freestyle, and the 100-m butterfly events.
