The Rock’s legacy

Johnson’s trajectory after shining in pro wrestling was incredible. Starting his career as a football player, he then wanted to make a mark in pro wrestling. The wrestling lineage in his family dated back to his father. Through the Anoa’i wrestling family, Johnson made his debut in 1996.

By shifting various gimmicks, he struggled to make a name for himself in the wrestling community. But he came back stronger.

While he came with a stage name of Rocky Maivia, it needed a subtle change to refresh his gimmick. By referring himself to a third person, The Rock is undoubtedly the most charismatic personality ever to set foot in a WWE ring. After his success, the superstar tried his luck in Hollywood as he still enjoys unparalleled success. He is one of the highest grossing superstars in Hollywood.

Significantly, when asked about Gable Steveson’s plans for the future, he had only one reply. To follow in the footsteps of ‘The Great One’.
