Spurs are eager to sign Hirving Lozano
Unless you have been living under a rock for the past 24 hours, you have probably been made aware of the existence of a certain Hirving Lozano. The 22-year-old Mexican forward gave defending world champions Germany a rude shock in the World Cup group game yesterday his solitary goal made the difference in the encounter.
The PSV Eindhoven winger put in an excellent performance and capped it off with a brilliant goal. As such, he is already on the wishlist of several top European clubs. Reportedly, Tottenham Hotspurs are leading the race to sign him. The club’s fans took to Twitter to express their delight with his style of play and skills and urged the club to sign him as soon as possible.

However, it may be easier said than done. Real Madrid has already set their sights on Lozano, or “Chucky” as he is fondly called by his team-mates. The Mexican was extremely impressive in the Eredivisie last season, scoring 17 goals and setting up 8 more. Even before the World Cup kicked off, Lozano was on top of the world’s most exciting youngsters to watch and his performance yesterday will only have cemented his reputation. Another English Premier League club, Everton are also interested in signing him and will even offer him a bumper wage package for his services.
A strong World Cup performance will only increase his list of suitors as it surely should. However, if Daniel Levy, the Spurs chairman can get his act quickly and agree for a fee and wages under the radar, the London club might still have a shot. Keep watching this space for more.
