An impressive campaign with Anderlecht last season, scoring 23 and assisting 5 goals, the 20-year-old Serbian has caught Mourinho’s eye as he looks to find a replacement for departing striker Didier Drogba.

Chelsea have been following Mitrovic throughout last season and are thought to be keen for his services. A player who resembles Mario Balotelli in many ways would be an excellent fit in the Premier League.

Anderlecht have turned down offers from Swansea and Newcastle with the club demanding £15million. The price tag is relatively less for a striker who has scored 23 goals.
