Spanish tennis star Rafael Nadal stormed to a 12th French Open title after defeating Dominic Thiem in the final of the French Open 2019. Rafael Nadal entered the final after making very short work of arch-rival, Roger Federer. Meanwhile, Thiem battled past reigning World Number 1, Novak Djokovic.

The World number two got off to a storming start and took the first set 6-3, giving him the advantage. Thiem showed that he meant business when he snatch the second set with a score of 7-5. Rafael Nadal Nadal then cranked up the volume and proceeded to do what he does best. He rocketed ahead to close out the match with a 6-1, 6-1 in the 3rd and 4th sets.
