He supported the soccer club FC Basel and the Swiss national team while growing up. He also attributes his hand-eye coordination to the varied sports he participated in as a kid, such as basketball and badminton.

The Mighty Federer was an active child. His parents encouraged him to play several sports from a young age. He played Basketball, Tennis, Badminton and Soccer. His prowess with sports helped him stay fit and strong. Federer eventually chose tennis and turned pro at 14. He entered his first junior tournament at 14.

On April 11, 2009, they tied the knot at the Wenkenhof Villa in Riehen, close to Basel, in the presence of a select number of dear friends and family. She gave birth to identical twin girls (Myla and Charlene) in 2009. 2014 saw the birth of a second set of twins, this time fraternal brothers (Lenny and Leo).

His 2004 season saw him win three Grand Slam titles, as well as becoming the number 1 ranked player for the first time. He ended the year by winning the year-end championships for a second time. Roger Federer stopped being sponsored by Nike in 2019. Uniqlo approached the former number 1 to sponsor him for clothes. However, he still wore Nike shoes without being sponsored. Eventually, Federer discovered the Swiss shoe company, On. He first found out about the company when he saw his wife wearing them. Later, Federer would see people on the streets of Switzerland donning shoes made by On.
