UFC 243: Huge Bounce Back Win For Megan Anderson After Going Through Mental Health Issues

UFC 243 features the middleweight title fight between Robert Whittaker vs Israel Adesanya, which is arguably one of the biggest fight in UFC history. However, before even we get to the main card we have seen some impressive performances in the early prelims and prelims. Former INVICTA featherweight champion, Megan Anderson has put on a clinical finish in front 60000 fans in Marvel Stadium.

Megan Anderson fought Zarah Fairn dos Santos in a women’s featherweight fight. The former champion has had some tough losses in her short UFC run. Megan Anderson has lost to former UFC champion, Holly Holm and former number one contender for the featherweight title, Felicia Spencer. Both Holm and Spencer were two elite opponents. Anderson talked about her mental health issues in the media scrums because of the losses she dealt with UFC.

However, with a win over Zarah Fairn dos Santos in Melbourne, Australia Megan Anderson things are looking to get better for her as she can get back on a winning streak to fight for the UFC featherweight title.

It was a very clinical performance from the Australian Fighter as she submitted her opponent with in round 1 via a tri-angle. Though Dos Santos tried to fight the submission, it was very obvious that she was not a very skillful fighter for the former Invicta FC champion. With this win Anderson is 10-4 in her fighting career and still one of the top fighters in UFC women’s featherweight division.
