UFC 244 is stacked from top to bottom. Although the main and co-main events are the most exciting fights for the fans, several fights can steal the show in UFC 244. Johnny Walker vs Corey Anderson is one of them for sure. In the stagnant light heavyweight division, Johnny Walker is the most exciting and electrifying fighter. Fans even believe that he is the one who is going to dethrone the long-reigning champion, Jon Jones. However, to even get to a position from where he can make a strong argument for a title fight, Walker needs to have some notable wins in his resume. Well, a win over ranked no 7, Corey Anderson will certainly help his case. Here is Johnny Walker vs Corey Anderson Prediction.

Johnny Walker :

Johnny Walker(17-3) has the power, he is dynamic, and he is wild inside the octagon. Nobody knows what all the tools he has in his arsenal cause we have not shown that much of him in UFC and how could we? Walker is finishing his opponents in minutes. He won’t shy away from throwing explosive strikes such as flying knee and roundhouse head kick. He is unpredictable. However, he has not faced any solid opponents yet and Corey Anderson might be the one who takes Walker into deep water.

The only concern for Walker going into this fight is his shoulder injury he suffered from his post-fight celebration in his last fight. It would be intriguing to see whether he has healed up completely from that injury and whether it plays a factor in the fight.

Corey Anderson:

If there is an underrated fight in the light heavyweight division at the moment then it has to be Corey Anderson(12-4). His rank certainly does not do justice to how good of a fighter he is. Agreed, he is not the most exciting fighter in the division who is going to produce flashy knockouts, but he is a solid fighter. At this point, it’s no secret that Anderson is going to try and wrestle Johnny Walker. He is a decent striker, but he is no match for Walker on the feet.

Johnny Walker vs Corey Anderson Prediction:

This fight is important for the future of the light heavyweight division. If Johny Walker gets an impressive win over a top-ranked opponent then he will do justice to all the hype surrounding him. However, if he gets exposed and outwrestled by Anderson then not a lot of fighters will be there at 205 whom fans will consider as a strong challenger for Jon Jones.

However, Johnny Walker is likely to get the job done in this one. It might not be a quick one, but sooner or later he will catch Anderson. Anderson has three knockout losses. Anderson is not going to knock out Walker. His best bet is going to be wrestling. However, Johny Walker is explosive and we can suppose he has at least decent takedown defense in reply to Anderson’s solid wrestling.

This is a make or break fight for Walker. Nobody knows how much he has improved in the wrestling department. However, he is more powerful and more refined striker than Corey Anderson. He has shown a decent ground game in the past and that might just be enough to counter the wrestling of Anderson.
