‘There Will Be Blood and Violence’- Jorge Masvidal Warns Kamaru Usman Ahead of UFC 261

UFC welterweight Jorge Masvidal spoke out via UFC.com and ensured fans that he’s ready for the test that’s on hand. ‘Gamebred’ finally has an opportunity to make things right as he laces up the gloves against Kamaru Usman once more. Both men met back in July at UFC 251, where Usman pulled off the unanimous decision victory.
The first fight took place under rather trying circumstances, as Gilbert Burns was supposed to be Usman’s original opponent. However, just 6 days out from the fight, ‘Durinho’ was pulled after testing positive for COVID-19. Jorge Masvidal, being the perennial opportunist he is, stepped in on short notice in place of Burns.
The fight played out much as one would expect as Kamaru Usman utilized various clinch techniques and even foot stomps to smother Masvidal. 305’s favorite son put forth a good showing, however, he couldn’t keep up with ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’. Fans are excited to see whether ‘Gamebred’ can bring his chaotic and punishing style to the rematch.

“The sacrifice will be much less because I come to this fight with a good camp; I won’t have to cut 20 pounds in 6 days like UFC 251. His striking is very low-key and taking me against the fence isn’t going to work for him either. There will be blood and violence. “

Kamaru Usman predicted that the narrative going into the contest would heavily rely on Masvidal taking the fight on 6 days. With a full training camp, both men will have an opportunity to put a definitive end to their rivalry. There is a lot more than just bragging rights for the winner as their distaste for each other runs deep.
