Andre Muniz came into the fight claiming that he was the better grappler, a claim that the commentary team waved off as ludicrous. However, Muniz has now accomplished what no man ever has in MMA by tapping out the legendary grappling ace. Following his victory, Muniz said that he heard the arm snap and willingly let go out of respect. There’s no doubt that tapping out ‘Jacare’ will age well on his resume going forward.

Ronaldo Souza, who was landing crisp strikes early on, even secured an early takedown. It appeared as though he was bouncing back with the right mindset, following his KO loss to Kevin Holland.
However, ‘Sergipano’ showed early promise, landing two takedowns on his compatriot. He was just the third fighter to land a takedown on Souza, with Chris Weidman and Jack Hermansson being the other two.
