In yet another matchup that is quickly garnering attention in the world of crossover boxing, MMA fighter Dillon Danis is scheduled to go up against YouTuber turned WWE star, Logan Paul. After his younger brother Jake Paul’s fight against MMA veteran Nate Diaz the world will be eager to see how the elder brother fares. However, the months leading up to the fight look murky as Dillon Danis has been on an X spree. The former grappler has curated multiple posts aimed at defaming Logan’s fiance. In a recent update to the X feud, famed grappler Gordon Ryan has entered the fray.

Dillon Danis’s X onslaught is a long list of posts that highlight Logan’s fiance’s dating history. The posts have shown her in an intimate light with celebrities such as Leonardo DiCaprio and others. The post also contains photoshopped images of her with figures in history. Gordon Ryan has decided to introduce himself to this mix. The BJJ extraordinaire took to Instagram to share a story that mimics ‘El Jefe’s recent spree. Referencing Danis’ career trajectory the Five-time ADCC Champion sent out a statement.

The famed grappler put up a story of Dillon Danis’ ex-girlfriend Savannah Montano and captioned it. Taking a dig at ‘El Jefe’ in a fashion similar to his own, ‘King’ Gordon sent out this message to his former ADCC opponent. Highlighting Danis’ seemingly hypocritical nature, the BJJ Champion accused him of changing careers because of his ex-girlfriend’s dating habits.

Online criticism regarding Dillon Danis is primarily centered around his lack of active involvement in professional fighting. Prior to establishing a 2-0 record with Bellator MMA, Conor McGregor’s teammate Danis was a grappler. Interestingly, the ‘King’ and ‘El Jefe’ faced off at the ADCC event in 2017, The fight ended with Ryan achieving a decision victory over ‘El Jefe’. While this was a respectable outcome for Danis, he has, in recent times, failed to make relevant fighting appearances. This trend of starting ‘beef’ without backing it up has not sat well with Ryan in the past as well.

The complex history of the feud

Gordon Ryan has previously accused Danis of “managing to stay relevant without actually doing anything combat-related.” Ryan has, on occasions before, hinted at the unlikeliness of a rematch between him and Danis owing to Danis’ elusive nature. The BJJ Champion once praised Danis for harboring potential, but it seems like those days are long gone. Danis also famously pulled out of a boxing match with YouTuber KSI, citing reasons that allegedly didn’t suffice. Since then, he has been accused of showmanship that is very one-dimensional.

Danis’ moves have been in poor taste, allegedly in attempts to rattle the WWE star. In the time leading up to their co-main fight, the banter has escalated. Paul sent Danis a cease and desist letter. Danis has previously clarified that his attempts have been inspired by a similar approach taken by Logan’s younger brother Jake Paul some time back. While rumors circulate, Ryan’s online attack also puts Danis in a similar position. It is unclear whether the story will see Danis address Ryan’s accusations. But fans might be eager to hear from the future boxer if that guarantees a rematch between the ‘King’ and ‘El Jefe’.
