A similar fight was scheduled in the bantamweight division between Richard Palencia and Cee Jay Hamilton. Richard Palencia was the favorite coming into the bout, but things went haywire for the bantamweight fighter.

What happened in the fight?

Richard Palencia appeared to snap his leg in the second round of the fight. As he was checking an inside low leg kick on Cee Jay, his leg moved somewhat awkwardly and he wobbled while trying to maintain his balance.

This slowed Palencia and restricted his movements on the mat. As he was unable to defend himself, the result was a heartbreaking second-round TKO loss for the fighter.

How did the fans react to this injury at Bellator 286?

The fans felt that injury was disheartening and could prove to be career-threatening. The fans are hoping for a quick recovery for the fighter who suffered his first professional loss.

An MMA fan pointed out that the injury reminded him of Chris Weidman’s unfortunate injury against Uriah Hall.
