Joe Rogan is widely regarded in several distinct roles as a jack of all trades and a master of many. Amongst other things, he is a UFC commentator, podcast host, and stand-up comedian. Not to mention, he is notable and successful in each of those fields. However, it comes at a cost and it often feels impossible to pull off. Which begs the question, which of these crafts is Rogan most drawn to?

In a recent turn of events, Rogan in a recent episode of his podcast with Jim Norton gets candid about being a part of different vocations. His comments delve into his relationship with his various crafts.

According to Rogan, he has indulged himself in distinct forms of media. However, he enjoys his work at UFC because he is a fight fan through and through and discussing or calling fights is a “freeing, “experience for him. But the other ones? He considers them to be jobs and not fascinating to him. Moreover, despite being such a versatile personality, he has an itch to do more things. But only if he had more time on his hands.

During the episode with Norton, another standup comedian, he stated, “I would love to do everything. If I had multiple lives that I could live simultaneously I would have a ton of different careers. Because I am fascinated by a lot of different things. But you don’t have that much time in the world.”

Rogan does make a valid point. Time is a big constraint and hence, it became paramount to be mindful of what one spends their time on. The impact of MMA in Rogan’s life

Rogan credits his success and personality development to the sport of Mixed Martial Arts. He always dealt with self-doubts but when he was encountered with sports, he was captivated and found himself obsessed with it. That is when he realised that he is a passionate individual and can work hard towards it but of only certain things. In the same interview, “When I got into martial arts, then I realized, like oh I’m not lazy. I’m just not interested in those other things,” started Rogan. “I was also not around people that were following their passions.”
