Patchy Mix proved himself to be one of the best bantamweights in the world after defeating Raufeon Stots at Bellator 295. He registered the victory with a knockout, which could be a contender for the knockout of the year. UFC bantamweight star Merab Dvalishvili congratulated the Bellator star on his massive win.

The Bellator 295 pay-per-view saw Raufeon Stots and Patchy Mix battle it out for the interim bantamweight championship. In addition to that, the winner of the fight was also going to receive a sum of $1,000,000. Moreover, the ending of the fight did not disappoint the fans as it will live long in the memories of fans. The conclusion of the fight even sparked reactions from UFC stars.

‘The Machine’ Dvalishvili and Patchy Mix have trained together in the past. Both fighters share a cordial relationship with each other and Dvalishvili made it known in a tweet. He congratulated the 29-year-old fighter as he wrote: “Congratulations my brother [Patchy Mix].” Dvalishvili has also beaten Raufeon Stots before he came to the UFC. He seemed happy that his former training partner also emerged victorious against the same opponent.

The fight ended in a spectacular fashion when Mix landed a clean knee strike to the jaw of Raufeon Stots. That devastating knee rattled the former champion, and he was knocked out in an instant. ‘No Love’ successfully claimed the interim title with the million-dollar cash prize. He has now amassed a 5-fight winning streak as well.

‘No Love’ claimed to be the best bantamweight in the world

Days before the Bellator 295 main event, Patchy Mix appeared on a media day and mentioned that he believes he is working to become the best fighter in the world. He said, “I fight to be the best. So, when I got into this [fight with Stots], I wanted to be the best in the world and that’s what I am chasing.”

Patchy Mix also claimed to be the best current bantamweight fighter. “I believe I am the best bantamweight, 135-pounder in the world, and with this belt, it will give me more notoriety to say that,” said the Bellator Bantamweight Grand Prix winner. He also disclosed that he is not involved in fighting to only amass wealth and he wants to be the best fighter in the division.

Patchy Mix now has time to celebrate his win and recuperate from his Bellator 295 fight to prepare for his next challenge. On the other hand, Merab Dvalishvili received a callout from one of the cousins of Khabib Nurmagomedov, Umar Nurmagomedov, for a fight. But there is no update on that front.
