Dana White is already exercising his power in the boxing matchmaking scene after his deal with Turki Alalsheikh. His big foray in the boxing world will begin soon in September! Why? Well, because Alasheikh has already delivered a faceoff between the undisputed super-middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez and two-weight undisputed champion Terence Crawford.

In fact Dana White posted the face off in his Instagram story where he was in the centre as the duo stared down intensely at each other. Interestingly, when his Eminence announced the news on X , the UFC bossman was not mentioned in the in-ring segment. But now he is the one standing between the boxing veterans for the face-off!

Alalshikh wrote on X, “We will deliver the fight of the century with @RiyadhSeason on Sept. 12 at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium. The legend @Canelo defends his @ringmagazine title vs. the great @terencecrawford.”  This is a very lucrative time for Alvarez since he entered a 4 fight deal with Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh Season. This agreement is reportedly $400 million and has the highly anticipated clash against Crawford which is now final!

And guess what? Alvarez took this chance by turning down the possibility of a clash against YouTuber/boxer Jake Paul. He has shown his amazing performance despite an underwhelming overall fight against IBF champion  William Scull. However, since the Cuba-born boxing star was moved around, dodging, shuffling most of the time, it frustrated Alvarez, and he declared that he “hated” the fighting style of his opponent.

Nevertheless, now it’s time to move on to the next million-dollar fight against Crawford. Planned for September 2025, this bout is anticipated to happen at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, with almost 65,000 fans in attendance. So let’s get into the nitty gritty of the purses, shall we?

Canelo Alvarez vs Terrence Crawford- how much will they be paid?

For the Mexican star, the money is definitely worth it since the 34-year-old will be paid a whopping $400 million by the Saudis for a four-fight arrangement. He was reportedly going to be paid $80 million for his win against Scull. On the other hand, the undefeated Cuban reportedly bagged just $3 million, according to TSM Sports. On top of that, for the next fight with Crawford, Brunch Boxing announced, “Canelo was reportedly promised over nine figures for the bout.”

Alvarez has always taken his deserved share of the purse for most of his fights and does not feel apprehensive about announcing the same. In fact, he demanded $200 million to fight David Benavidez, which was negotiated to $150 million. Benavidez, however, moved up to the light heavyweight division and he has since won the interim WBC light heavyweight championship.

On the other hand, there have been no announcements on Crawford’s earnings from this fight. But this is undoubtedly a lucrative fight for ‘Bud’ as well. Are you excited to see this showdown?
