The conversation of the most ferocious fighter in history starts and ends mostly with Mike Tyson. Despite him becoming a fun-loving individual over the years, his ferocious aura still unsettles people even in his late 50s. Tyson’s got a fight coming up against YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul, which has gathered a lot of traction in the media. Longtime UFC commentator Joe Rogan seems to be backing ‘Iron’ to win, evident in his statements, but a certain UFC legend seems skeptical about it.

Initially scheduled for July, the fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul got postponed to November after the youngest heavyweight champion fell victim to some health problems. Their boxing match has been a topic of interest as Joe Rogan chimed in, and this time, even Chael Sonnen decided to join the conversation, questioning the validity of the JRE host’s prediction.

Does Joe Rogan have any “evidence” for backing Mike Tyson? Chael Sonnen opines

For sure, as a lifelong combat sports fan, who once claimed to love boxing while defending the UFC in an ESPN interview, Joe Rogan is qualified enough to make his opinion known about the Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul fight. But the fact that he picked ‘Iron’, who’s just a couple of years shy from turning sixty, to win the fight has compelled Chael Sonnen to question where he arrived at that prediction from.

“Joe Rogan does make a statement. He says Mike Tyson, even at 57 years old, will still knock your head into the third realm. I don’t know what evidence Joe has of that. That seems very lofty,” Chael Sonnen said on his YouTube Channel. Just like Dana White, Joe Rogan also believes that Mike Tyson has a puncher’s chance because he still has his power. However, Chael Sonnen claims that there’s no scientific proof to substantiate such ambiguous claims.

“The threat in the belief that just one punch and the last thing to go is their power. There’s no scientific proof that the last thing to go within a fighter’s skill set is his power,” Chael Sonnen added. “There is nothing quantifiable. That is just an expression that is put out.”

While people, including Chael Sonnen, have expressed concerns about Mike Tyson’s well-being against Jake Paul, the boxing icon seemed to have reached his boiling point. That prompted ‘Iron’ to lay down a warning statement for those who doubt his chances against the YouTuber-turned-boxer.

Tyson’s warning to his doubters

Mike Tyson was already agitated during a recent presser when questions about his health popped up amongst the media representatives. But recently, when he dropped by as a guest on Logan Paul‘s ‘Impaulsive’ podcast, he issued one final warning to the haters around the world. While revealing that he’s looking at Paul as a “killer” and being confident in his ability to cross the finish line, ‘Iron’ invited anyone who doubts him to come face-to-face and tell him in person.

“If you think I’m too old for this fight, you need to come and tell me in my face,” said Mike Tyson while giving a death stare to one of the cameras. For a moment, it seemed like the boxing icon was mad, but things calmed down and the podcast ended with everybody smiling. Nevertheless, it surely is chilling to see Tyson in such a fighting mode.
