The long-standing rivalry between Oscar De La Hoya and Dana White is no secret. The two have been at odds for years, with each taking shots at the other in the press. Recently, their feud came to a head when De La Hoya called out White for his recent controversy about hitting his wife. It’s safe to say that White will not be pleased upon hearing this.

There has always been a heated rivalry between Oscar De La Hoya and Dana White. However, it came to a head when McGregor vs Mayweather was announced. Ever since then, both have been going back and forth with each other.

De La Hoya was quick to criticize the fight, calling it a ‘circus’ and a ‘disgrace to the sport of boxing’. White responded by calling De La Hoya a ‘two-faced’. The rivalry between these two men is sure to continue for years to come.

Oscar De La Hoya fires shot at Dana White

During a recent tweet of his, Oscar De La Hoya fired another shot at Dana White, this time about the New Year’s slap incident between White and his wife.

He said, “My good friend @DANAWHITE is so greedy he decided to steal fighter pay from his new league on tbs ‘power slap’ by getting fighter of the night against his wife. Those Boston aerobic instructors are real tough guys.

However, this ain’t the only time one of them has spoken about the other. Back in 2020, the pair got into a heated back-and-forth.

Back when La Hoya claimed White ruined his PPV

In 2020, La Hoya tried his hands at promoting MMA fights. Moreover, he made a fight between two former UFC champions. The fighters whom White once managed were Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz. The rivalry was there, and the arena was full of spectators to watch their fight. However, the pay-per-view didn’t do as well as per the boxing legend.

He said, “I mean we had the arena packed, jam-packed, pay-per-views didn’t do too well. For certain reasons, certain cable operators weren’t really working with us.

But I think it’s because I received too much heat from Dana White. I mean, that’s, that’s just literally the bottom line.” He further added.

Despite their differences, it is clear that both De La Hoya and White are passionate about their respective sports and are willing to do what it takes to promote and grow them. Whether they will ever resolve their rivalry remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: the world of boxing and mixed martial arts would not be the same without the contributions of these two industry giants.
