While he sided with Jon Jones instead of Tyson Fury, several opposite and concurring arguments have been tossed in ever since. Pundits, fighters, and fans alike have debated the victor of the hypothetical fight between the two greats of their game. However, the question remains the same: who will emerge as the winner if the two titans ever clashed?

UFC President Dana White is keen to make the fight happen between the two to settle the debate once and for all. Several hurdles impede the probability of a showdown between ‘Bones’ and ‘The Gypsy King’. He received the green light from the UFC champion soon after the debate gained traction. But the boxing champion wants to play by his own rules.

It seems like talks are going on between both sides. Dana White being on board with the idea is a good sign. However, there is no official confirmation about an MMA or boxing fight. Fury and Jones have been going back and forth on Twitter about it.

In fact, Francis Ngannou is also interested in boxing ‘The Gypsy King’. The boxer, however, seems to be keeping his options open and hasn’t confirmed any opponent yet.

The UFC lynchpin, who worked behind the scenes to work out Conor McGregor‘s clash with Floyd Mayweather, is confident of replicating the same feat. Furthermore, he can leverage his relationship with the British champion to make him listen to his music.

The 53-year-old told media on UFC Fight Night on ESPN 45 that he will figure out a way to pay the Manchester-born boxer. He stated, “I’m telling Tyson Fury, who I respect very much: If you really want to find out who the baddest man on the planet is, I will make that fight.”

He continued and declared, “I will make Jon Jones vs. Tyson Fury in the Octagon. And we’ll figure it out. We figured out how to pay Floyd. We’ll figure out how to pay you too, Tyson.”

While there is a meeting of minds between both the UFC and their champion, the boxing champion doesn’t want to cede ground.

He penned in his Instagram stories that he prefers to stand and punch, not roll around the floor. The comments didn’t halt the relentless business person’s hot pursuit. The professional boxer recently revealed the UFC sent him a hybrid fight offer.

Tyson Fury claims UFC has sent an offer for Jon Jones ‘hybrid fight’

White recently sent Fury an official offer to test the waters and determination of the boxer to decline a fight. Disclosing the same on a live Twitter space, Fury said, “There’s talks of me and Jon Jones doing a hybrid fight as we talk, right now. I received an offer from the UFC yesterday, so you never know what’s going to happen.”

We live in an age where super-fights are made and fought. Given the unwavering relentless pursuit by the UFC president and the willingness of Fury to sit down and talk with the promotion, the combat fans might be hopeful of a showdown to go down.
