‘The Last Stylebender’ aka Israel Adesanya not only gets appreciation from the UFC world, but it seems like he is appreciated by the NBA world as well. Recently Jamal Murray, who surged against the Lakers and made the Denver Nuggets enter the second-round series, also showed his appreciation for Izzy. For the uninitiated, Izzy and Murray do have a cordial relationship where they sometimes show their appreciation for each other on social media.

Adesanya, who was also praised by Shaquille O’Neal and LeBron James, got a subtle shout-out from Murray recently and he could not help but repost about the same.

The ‘Last Stylebender’ recently posted an Instagram story with a picture of the NBA star and a bow and arrow emoji as the caption. Now why did he do this? The reason is as clear as Murray’s score in the latest game against the Lakers. The 27-year-old was seen wearing a blue sweatshirt with ‘Stylebender’ written in red bold letters and guess who is called the same in the UFC?

Murray has always been a die-hard fan of UFC, so much so that he prioritized the UFC 299 over his press conference. Following his game against the Utah Jazz, the Point Guard had sat down with the media for the mandatory press conference. However, he was distracted because he was busy watching UFC 299 on his phone while answering the questions. This incident even made the ‘Last Stylebender’ amused, and he showered appreciation on the NBA player. 

Meanwhile, Murray is not the only NBA player to love UFC and support Adesanya. Even Shaq and Lebron James are a fan of the fighter.

Izzy’s meeting with Shaq and LeBron

Adesanya was candid previously and revealed that he was so engrossed in his sport that he did not get time to follow basketball. However, he also said that he had a huge amount of respect for NBA legend LeBron James. The UFC middleweight fighter mentioned meeting James at Drake’s house. He said, “LeBron was cool because he didn’t have to say what’s up, but he saw me. He’s like you pulled up and we talked for like a minute.”

Adesanya also seemed to have partied with none other than Shaquille O’Neal and the 4-time NBA champ put the DJ hats on top of Volk and Adesanya. ‘Diesel’ shared an Instagram story where he could be seen enjoying the UFC 290 afterparty. He was having a gala time with Israel Adesanya and UFC 290 victor, Alexander Volkanovski. Jamal Murray was also present there at the Encore Beach Club! Adesanya also shared a stage with Shaq in the same party, and they shook hands as the crowd went berserk.

So, ‘The Last Stylebender’ seems to be collecting NBA stars like Pokemon and all of them appreciate the UFC fighter. Adesanya might be fighting against Dricus Du Plessis in UFC 305 if the plan is settled. Let’s see if the NBA stars come to cheer for him again.
