Marc Andreessen believes both billionaires are inspiring not only tech enthusiasts but also the next-gen. The sphere of their influence is not tech but fighting. The famed investor who has backed both tech moguls expressed his opinions about the fast-approaching cage fight.

Marc Andreessen speaks highly of Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg

The 52-year-old penned a long post on Substack titled ‘FIGHTING’. Calling the MMA sport “primal”, he outlined the importance of it in human civilization. He then traced the origins of MMA in Greek mythology. When asked whether he considered Musk and Zuckerberg as “role models” his response was a resounding “yes”.

The noted software developer further declared MMA was the rising national sport. He added how the Meta CEO was training hard in it, and getting jacked. Notably, the Facebook founder recently employed the services of Israel Adesanya and Alexander Volkanovski. Meanwhile, the Tesla CEO strengthened his camp as he trained hard with UFC veteran Georges St-Pierre to gain the upper hand on his Meta counterpart.

Andreessen then turned his attention to ‘Chief Twit’ as he called Musk a martial art enthusiast in his own right. He thus stated, “Both Mark [Zuckerberg] and Elon [Musk] are top-end role models for children in our society, including my own—whether they end up fighting in the Colosseum or not!

He is not the only one to whom the super fight seems enticing. Former UFC champion Conor McGregor expressed “I’m interested” when he spoke about the super fight.

Andreessen supports the cause of teaching MMA

Enlisting the importance of MMA, he wrote, “The message to kids is not, this is how you beat people up. The message is, this is how you protect yourself–and as important, this is how you protect your family, your friends, your community.”
