Joe Rogan has always held talented fighters in high regard. The 55-year-old has a deep-rooted passion for martial arts and martial artists. Therefore, he could not help but give a shout-out to Matt Brown after the 42-year-old’s impressive feat at UFC Charlotte this past weekend.
‘The Immortal’ fought 39-year-old Court McGee in the final fight on the preliminary card of the evening. Brown scored a stunning walk-off knockout over McGee in the very first round. Even in the twilight of his career, the welterweight star delivered a highlight reel moment in an evenly-matched contest.
Furthermore, Brown matched heavyweight slugger Derrick Lewis for the most knockout wins in UFC history with 13 apiece. After witnessing his ward’s impressive feat at 42 years of age, his striking coach Dorian Price congratulated him on Instagram. Rogan shared the same message via his own IG to show his support for Brown.

Joe Rogan shares message of support for Matt Brown
In his Instagram story, Joe Rogan shared Dorian Price’s comments on Matt Brown. Price had shared an IG post about Brown’s latest record with some commentary of his own.
Price wrote, “Crazy when you realize @iamtheimmortal is the smallest guy in the list! The 44-year-old continued, “I don’t think people understand how hard this record is to accomplish! It’s not easy knocking out elite fighters!”
“Only one other guy on this list is still in the UFC.”

Apart from Lewis and Brown, the list featured Vitor Belfort with 12 KOs and Anderson Silva, Thiago Santos, and Anthony Johnson with 11 each. Lewis and Brown are the only ones on the list still in the UFC.
Rogan was not the only one impressed by Brown’s new record. Former UFC champion Conor McGregor also had a few things to say about the 42-year-old’s achievement.

What did Conor McGregor say about Matt Brown’s record?
Conor McGregor took to Twitter and claimed he would break Matt Brown’s record. Brown’s UFC Charlotte performance seemed to have fired up the Irishman, who has been on the sidelines for nearly two years now.
McGregor wrote, “Matt Brown, at 42 years of age, now holds the joint highest KO’s inside the UFC with 13KO’s. Him and “The Beast” Lewis are tied.” ‘The Notorious’ then said, “I hold 8 KO’s inside the UFC currently, at 34 years of age. I’m getting this record.”
