Gilbert Burns in a recent interview revealed that the BMF champion Jorge Masvidal is lying. Recently a lot of back and forth is going on between ‘Gamebred’ and ‘Durinho’. Burns is currently recovering from his last fight against Khamzat Chimaev. Many consider the fight to be one of the best fights of the year. Moreover, Masvidal due to various reasons has not appeared in the octagon after his loss to Colby Covington earlier this year.

Moreover, he appeared backstage at the UFC 282 to give an update on his career. He said that he has been trying to book a fight since September but hasn’t been able to find an opponent.

‘Durinho’ has been using this time to recover and improve his skills. Furthermore, since Masvidal was ducking him, he set a fight with Neil Mangy as his next opponent.

During the interview, a reporter asked Burns if he believed Masvidal when he said that he wasn’t offered the fight.

He said, “He was lying, for sure. Or Hunter [Campbell] and the UFC were lying. I don’t believe they would, but they offered me, Jorge. I don’t believe they were but they offer me Jorge.

Furthermore, he said that UFC had offered him Masvidal at the Madison Square Garden but ‘Street Jesus’ turned down the opportunity to face him. Since he turned down the fight multiple times, the Brazilian fighter had to find a different opponent in Mangy.

‘Durinho’ is gearing up to face Neil Mangy in his home country Brazil. However, he faced a lot of difficulties after a stellar performance against Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 273.

He said, “There was Jorge Masvidal, and then after that whenever multiple occasions the fight wasn’t on table they asked for Belal Muhammad but I think he just got from Abu Dabhi and the other name was Neil Mangy.
