Liverpool FC impressed the sporting community by winning the Premier League Trophy. It was a significant year for the soccer club, especially after Jurgen Klopp, their former manager, had just decided to leave the club. And when Arne Slot took his spot, fans were unsure. Could they replicate their previous form? How could he live up to the man who brought the club its first league title in decades?

Well, the title win certainly answered that! They decided to celebrate their big win and hopped on the iconic red bus and paraded the town with the trophy as the fans gathered on the road, painting it a bright red with their flags and jerseys. However, tragedy struck soon after, when a car ran over several parade goers on Water Street. There were some UFC stars present to see the mishap unfold in front of their eyes.

Former UFC middleweight Darren Till was present at the scene during the incident and recorded the whole ordeal from his balcony. He posted the same on X stating, & as always shit like this has to happen. I had left this exact spot about 5 minutes before. Hope everyone involved is seriously ok.He was not the only Scouser from the MMA world who posted about the tragic incident. UFC lightweight star Paddy Pimblett posted recently about the parade before the mishap struck, and wrote, “Surreal feeling when I’m just watching the parade then hearing a couple of thousand reds singing this best fan in the world.”

The post was a positive one, and the video was taken before the incident happened. Pimblett did talk about the tragedy as well. As the celebrations continued on the street, a car ran over several people, and reportedly, 27 people were hospitalized. Among the injured individuals were 4 children, and one of them was seriously injured.

Soon, the videos of the terrible event went viral on the internet. Conor McGregor chimed in to console the people affected.Mystic Mac’ was speechless and all he posted was one heart emoji and a folded hands emoji. Along with that was a picture that showed the symbol of Liverpool FC with two candles burning in front. LeBron James, too, was shattered with the news.

UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer sent out a message on X that said, “The scenes in Liverpool are appalling – my thoughts are with all those injured or affected. I want to thank the police and emergency services for their swift and ongoing response to this shocking incident.” Meanwhile, city rivals for Liverpool, Everton FC, echoed the sentiments. Paddy Pimblett being a Liverpudlian himself, decided to offer a few words.

Paddy Pimblett shared his condolences for the Liverpool FC incident

Taking to Instagram, the Scouser dropped a note on the mishap that plagued the Liverpool folks.  He seemed pretty impressed with the parade at first and mentioned that it was the first parade for his child and a special moment. However, Pimblett described how the happiness did not last long.

He wrote,Still cannot believe what happened after it, a day of celebration turned into a worry for everyone who was there or even knew anybody there, friends and family messaging to make sure that they are safe, something that we shouldn’t have to do or worry about. I hope anyone injured has a fast recovery, and anyone affected already knows they have the full city supporting them, red or blue, it doesn’t matter. Things like this are more important than football. YNWA.Pimblett is a huge fan of soccer since he hails from the land of Liverpool. Meanwhile, several other notable figures shared their support for the devastating incident.

Former Reds captain Steven Gerrard shared his condolences on social media, writing, “Shocked, sickened and saddened at the incident we all witnessed in our city last night. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the people involved and their families.” Jürgen Klopp, also posted about his shock and, stating: “My family and I are shocked and devastated. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those who are injured and affected. You’ll never walk alone.”
