UFC Singapore proved to be a banger of a fight card for the UFC and the fans alike. As the UFC caravan moved to the Asian country, there were some gripping questions. Who is next in line for the UFC women’s flyweight strap, and will Chan Sung Jung call it quits on his long and illustrious career after fighting Max Holloway? The way the night unfolded, UFC President Dana White would have been very pleased. With the dust settled on the high-voltage night, the promotion has released the Promotional Guidelines Compliance Pay.

Notably, Erin Blanchfield rose to the occasion and bagged the title contender slot as she triumphed over Taila Santos. Meanwhile, Holloway emerged victorious in a battle of chins, and the night ended with ‘The Korean Zombie’ hanging up his gloves. Therefore, their collective efforts made UFC Fight Night 225 a commercial success, and the UFC distributed $196,000 as compliance pay.

The Hawaiian fighter took home $21,000, and Anthony Smith and Alex Caceres joined him, as revealed by MMA Junkie. Meanwhile, The Korean Zombie amassed $11,000, and Ryan Spann and Giga Chikadze also received the same pay. Both the women’s flyweight fighters, Santos and Blanchfield, pocketed $6,000. It is worth noting that this is just a part of the purse that fighters receive based on the UFC’s sponsorship deals.

Notably, the compliance pay includes outfitting requirements, media obligations, and other items that fall under the fighter code of conduct. The money appropriated comes from the UFC’s sponsorship deal with Venom. Further, the fighters receive their cut based on their number of appearances in the Octagon. Despite an exciting night, the payout of $196,000 appears to be pint-sized after UFC 292’s Promotional Compliance Pay clocked at $340,500.

Max Holloway and his remarkable achievement at UFC Singapore

Holloway flatlined ‘The Korean Zombie’ in the third round of the fight and thus picked up his 9th KO victory in the featherweight division. The American fighter now holds the most KOs in the division with 9. Interestingly, his last KO win came back in 2018.

With the latest win, Holloway again cemented his position as the division’s gatekeeper. Therefore, he finds himself in an odd spot. He continues to brush aside the challengers but fails to surmount Alexander Volkanovski. What do you think of these payouts by the UFC and Dana White? Do you also believe the fighters continue to get paid less? Let us know in the comments below.
