Further, he has also made the UFC a part of the project, as his co-star Jake Gyllenhaal filmed at the recently concluded UFC 285. Now it’s Poirier’s turn to make his presence felt on the big screen, albeit in a red suit.

The 34-year-old recently teased what lies ahead for him as he turned to his Twitter handle. He retweeted a post that declared to have the “inside scoop” on him. The amusing tweet by Nick Bellard reads, “Those of you asking what’s next for @DustinPoirier- I have the inside scoop. He’s going to the big screen.”

Following this, Bellard also disclosed that the 29-8 record holder signed off on a deal to star as Jason, a red Power Ranger, in an upcoming reboot. The similarities are uncanny to McGregor’s recent Hollywood venture.

Thus, the tweet announced, “Signed the contract to star as Jason, the red Power Ranger, in the upcoming adult-oriented reboot. The film will act as a sequel to the 90s TV show.”
