And the Tafa curse continues to strike Parker Porter. UFC Singapore proved another unfortunate outing for the American fighter, as he dropped the fight to Junior Tafa. The high-voltage clash on August 26 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium promised fireworks, and the fans expected nothing but a banger of a fight. And the two heavyweights delivered. However, the celebrations soon turned sour as the fans called the controversial segment that finished the fight.

”The Juggernaut” Junior Tafa returned to his second fight in the promotion and looked to earn his fifth victory in his professional career through a slugfest. He made his UFC debut in his last fight but had an unpleasant start to his UFC career. Meanwhile, Porter returned to the winner’s column after dropping his previous two fights. Amusingly, his opponent’s elder brother, Justin Tafa, handed him the last loss, and he looked to break the Tafa curse. However, the curse seems unbreakable.

What happened in the fight at UFC Singapore?

The action began as Tafa appeared loose, but it was Porter who had vengeance on his mind and he put pressure on the pedal. However, he soon paid the price for being adventurous as Tafa rocked him with a knee. Porter then tried to fend off his opponent as he attempted to make it a clinching contest. These efforts went in vain as Tafa caught him with a huge blow on the back of the hand and dropped him to the canvas.

In the post-interview with Michael Bisping, Tafa remained upbeat about his performance and demanded a bonus. Further, he had an amusing statement in store for himself and his elder brother. He said, 50G, baby… Me and my brother are the baddest f*ckers on the planet, baby.”

However, it was during the clinching moments that some fence-grabbing was done. This act infuriated the fans, who were tired of witnessing such acts in the Octagon. Other fans demanded the promotion cut Porter off its roster, who slumped to his third loss in the last four fights.
