

Dustin Poirier left his fans worried with images of his swollen left foot on the internet. It was revealed that the fighter was affected by Staphylococcus bacteria and thus required medical help. However, the UFC lightweight fighter declared that he would start charging the fans for his foot pics. This comes after people started making fun of the picture he shared on Twitter.

The 33-year-old mixed martial artist underwent surgery to treat the complications. He later shared a picture of his foot after surgery on Twitter. However, the UFC world was taken aback by the tweet. Nonetheless, fans were happy when the American fighter shared he was recovering well.

Dustin Poirier would charge for foot pictures
Dustin Poirier and his gruesome swollen foot have been circling the internet for a couple of days now. The fighter contracted a nasty antibiotic-resistant Staphylococcus infection. The first-ever picture that he shared showed his foot severely inflamed.

The UFC world was left assured as Poirier tweeted that he would be released from the hospital after confirming that antibiotics were working well. But the infection came with a set of complications that included cellulitis, which leads to severe inflammation.

However, the former UFC interim lightweight champion still required surgery for treating the complications. In an attempt to reply to a tweet by a fan asking for another foot pic, he recently posted a photo of his foot right after his surgery. He wrote, “This is today after surgery. About to start charging yall for foot pics.”

Furthermore, what seemed like a joke, was taken up a notch, as a user asked if Poirier wanted to show his foot on the social platform, OnlyFans. But the reply from the ‘Diamond’ came as “Onlyfeet”. Although the fighter is still recovering from the dangerous Staph infection, he didn’t fail to entertain the fans with his quirky humor.

The Diamond is on the road to recovery
On 8th December 2022, Poirier kept updating his fans about his condition. He declared that the surgery went well and was recovering. However, he couldn’t keep his mind off of his next fight.

He took to Instagram and posted a picture of himself on the hospital bed. He wrote, “About to bounce back! Nobody’s safe. Everyone talking sh*t and kicking when im down, thats coward movements. I want all the smoke. El Diamante.”
