It remains unclear whom the 34-year-old will face in his comeback fight.

The speculation continues to persist as fans eagerly await confirmation of the 34-year-old’s return. Moreover, a recent post by John Kavanagh, McGregor’s coach, has added fuel to the fire of an early return.

Coach Kavanagh hinting McGregor UFC return in May?

John Kavanagh is a well-known figure in the martial arts world. He is an Irish martial arts coach, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner, and a former professional mixed martial artist. Kavanagh has been coaching Conor McGregor for several years and the two are close friends. Recently, Kavanagh uploaded an Instagram post with McGregor as the duo posed with their kids.

The post caught the attention of fans because, in the comments, Kavanagh shared a cryptic message suggesting the Irishman’s return to the octagon in May. The post was captioned “The boys back up for May“. Although there is no official confirmation, fans are excited about the possibility of McGregor’s return.

John Kavanagh recently expressed his confidence in McGregor’s return to the UFC in 2023. In an interview on the MMA hour, Kavanagh stated,I’d be willing to bet my house on it. I think there’s some interesting negotiations going along now… I absolutely can’t say anything beyond that, but I’m very, very confident we will see Conor back in the octagon.
