The Canadian rapper, Drake, indeed makes some groovy tunes. However, when it comes to mixed martial arts, fans know him for the ‘Drake curse’. In the recent light, fans took over the comments as the ‘Drake curse’ hovers over the upcoming UFC 281 Women Flyweight fight.

UFC flyweight fighter, Molly McCann recently revealed that the rapper would probably show up in her support during the events of her upcoming fight. However, little did she know that she set forth an array of comments as fans went into frenzy over the ‘Drake curse’

Fans fear Drake might be the cause of Molly McCann’s fall

Recently, The MMA Media tweeted, “Molly McCann has said that Drake will ‘probably’ be in attendance supporting her at #UFC281 this weekend in New York.” As things set to motion and the countdown began, fans revealed their fear of the ‘Drake curse’.

Molly McCann might see the rapper supporting her during the fight

The flyweight contender has been pitted against the grappling elite, Erin Blanchfield. During a press conference, the fighter was asked about the Canadian rapper. The journalist said, “You know, obviously, last fight, you know Drake dropped a nice Millie on you. I’m kind of curious if you’ve heard anything from him and obviously the price tag is a little bit better this time for him as well.”

The British fighter replied that she sent the musician a message asking him if she could be featured in the new season of ‘Top Boy’. However, she hasn’t been active on social media platforms, lately. Owing to her upcoming match, she claimed that all of her focus was on the preparation of the fight.

She said, “But now, I haven’t been on social media for this camp. Yeah, I’ve stayed away from it to be focused for what’s coming on Saturday night.”

Furthermore, she revealed that she expected Drake to be present in the crowd and cheering for her. McCann said, “But, I do see he’s playing on Friday night in somewhere to New York. So, it wouldn’t surprise me if he was coming and gonna put a parlay on me. See if we can keep the Drake curse go- not going.”

Lately, the rapper’s curse has taken over the internet. Netizens saw the pattern of athletes losing their respective main events, after he shows his support. Nonetheless, only time will tell what happens to Molly McCann as she goes against Erin Blanchfield.
