Drake probably had his hotline severely ringing after losing an insane UFC 281 bet. Israel Adesanya, the former middleweight champion, had to give up his title to rival Alex Pereira. The UFC 281 had a massive shocker in store, as most of the UFC world expected the spoils to go for ‘The Stylebender’ again. Most of us who picked Adesanya lost our bets, but the Canadian rapper really bet a ridiculous amount favoring the former champion.

Meanwhile, another guy who bet $500 on Pereira cashed in a handsome cheque after the fight. The current lightweight champion also made a shockingly accurate prediction.

Drake bet an insane $2m CAD against Alex Pereira

The UFC 281 was a heavily anticipated event. Rapper Drake saw an insane opportunity and bet in favor of Israel Adesanya, who defended his belt before. Like most of us, Drake had sound logic betting in favor of the proven champion.

Most of us might’ve lost around $100, but the rapper lost an insane amount of $2M CAD on his expensive bet.

The Canadian artist has a net worth of $250M, so we can’t say he lost too much. But surely it must’ve stung the rapper to lose a chunk of his hard-earned money. If he bet that amount on Pereira, he would’ve probably earned more than a hit album.

But, since he sided with Israel Adesanya, he has to pay up for his losses.

Islam Makhachev strikes gold again

However, one guy came out as a winner in his bet. “A bettor got Alex Periera moneyline at +1500 odds during the fight… The $500 bet paid out $8,000 🤑”

He bet on the right guy and cashed in the reward for it. He made a handsome profit of over $7500 for betting on the right fighter at the right time.

Current Lightweight champion, Islam Makhachev also must’ve cashed in as he made an accurate prediction.

The fighter who recently snatched the lightweight belt from Charles Oliveira at UFC 280, favored The Brazilian middleweight contender.

Rapper Drake was hoping it would be an easy win for Izzy, but that was far from the truth. As ‘Poatan’ proved to be too much for Adesanya to handle.
