After training under Jason Krause, Sanko fought 5 amateur fights within a span of two years between 2010 and 2012. Notably, she amassed an impressive record of 4-1 in her five fights.

After these amateur stints, the MMA analyst endeavored for her first professional fight in 2013. Fighting under the banner of Invicta FC, Sanko defeated Cassie Robb in a first-round submission win at Invicta FC 4.

While a multi-year deal was in place with Invicta, she chose to retire because of some family issues. However, the famed personality got the job as a reporter outside the cage. And instead of a successful career as an MMA fighter, she built a successful career in MMA.
