Max Holloway just achieved a historic UFC 300 knockout victory against Justin Gaethje. Not only did he make Justin go to sleep but now he has dismissed ex-NFL star Chad Johnson’s Hawaiian boxing proposition. He respectfully and playfully dusted off Johnson’s provocation to box with Holloway.

The fight between Holloway and Gaethje was complete chaos as the two fighters truly embodied the spirit of the title they were fighting for. Finally, with one second remaining in the fight Holloway made Gaethje sleep with a right hook and got a $600,000 bonus for it. Despite this deadly fight Chad Johnson seemed to be confident enough to ask Holloway for a boxing match.

During a YouTube interview with Shannon Sharpe, the topic went towards the UFC 300 and how incredible the knockout was by Holloway. Ochocinco, who is a veteran NFL player with an 11-year career and six-time NFL Pro Bowler, was confident that he could win against Holloway. Sharpe was trying to make the NFL star understand that he could not fight Holloway. He even said that Johnson would be knocked out in 30 seconds and he was ready to put all his money on the bet. Even the X user DJ MurkCity said, “Ochocinco wants to spar with Max Holloway😂 Ocho: “If I was to fight Max when do you think he would beat me in the octagon?” Unc: “30 seconds”😂🤣 Boy I love this show🤣 I guarantee Ocho believes he can perform open heart surgery too😂.”

After Holloway finally saw the clip he respectfully declared, “Respect 🫡…lol he has to be trolling. Ever in Hawaii @ochocinco, lmk 🤙🏻.” He even asked Johnson to let him know when the NFL star would be in Hawaii so that they could get together and box.

Sharpe had already warned the basketball star and said that he would be knocked out in, “30 seconds.” He continued, “I’m putting all my money, I am taking out all the money I got, everything I own, and putting it on Max Holloway. He would beat the brakes off you and two more people just like you.” However, Johnson was adamant and even offered Holloway a sparring invite in the video if he had a break until his next fight. Johnson should be a little careful because as Holloway so eloquently put it after his win at UFc 300, “He’s him.”

Max Holloway is “him” and he showed it

The BMF Fight was intense and exceeded the expectations of the fans. All five rounds went to the bell with Holloway holding a clear edge against the Highlight. The last round saw both the fighters going blow for blow when ‘Blessed’ requested his opponent to fight in the middle of the octagon, before knocking the champion out cold.

Gaethje then decided to address this on his X-handle and said, “I’m in great spirits with my family. Thanks for all the love. What a sport. @BlessedMMA you’re a dog. Congrats. Well deserved double bonus #ufc300”

In response to this, the newly crowned champion thanked the former champion back. “Thank you for the opportunity, my man! God speed!” he tweeted. The respectful and positive interactions between the two fighters display the healthy competition that they have with each other. Now Holloway is only moving forward and we can only speculate and hope for a boxing match between the ex-NFL star and the newly crowned BMF champion.
