Tyson Fury recently had a bout with Oleksander Usyk and had to relinquish his title to the latter. Even though the fight was intense, Fury had some people to blame for his loss. He did win the money fight, but he was still disappointed at the result and accused his team. The Brit felt he had the upper hand in the six rounds, but Usyk recovered magnificently, and the momentum shifted in the eighth round.

Usyk recovered in the 8th round and gave a flurry of punches in the 9th, and Fury’s tall frame was the only thing that saved him from hitting the canvas. However, there was a ten-count, and the referee controversially stopped Usyk from finishing his opponent. This was the first loss in Fury’s 16-year career, and he implied that it was because of the advice given by his father and other tea members.

Michael Bisping agreed with Fury Jr. on this and said that the corner needs to be calm because the fighter is already stressed. He explained, “So your corner is sitting there getting conflicting advice. You need a cool, calm, collected corner. The corner works for 60 seconds in a situation where the stakes are so high is vital. A lot of the time they don’t need to tell them how to box. But you need to calm their minds. You need to give them an accurate reflection of what is going on in the fight.”

He also added that ‘The Gyspy King’ talked about this during the post-fight press conference and said that if the team had told him that he was “down” and to go out to finish Usyk, Fury would have done that. But his corner told him he was “up, which made the legend think he was acing the fight. Even people online said that the corner team was in “absolute shambles” because John Fury said, “No man alive born from a woman can beat my son.” However, there is always a silver lining through every dark cloud, and here it was the payment that Fury Jr. received.

Tyson Fury gets his due payment

Fury might not have won the fight, but he did win the money, and according to the reports, the total purse for the British heavyweight fighter was approximately $150 million. His earnings were due to pay-per-view and sponsorships. Fury did have the opportunity to become the undisputed champ, but that did not happen.

At least he has won money, but there is a tiny catch. Fury will have to pay a huge tax and national insurance on that paycheck. According to Stocklytics, he would have to pay approximately $4,88,68,512 and $21,75,602 in income tax and national insurance respectively. He is one of the wealthiest boxers right now, and he also explained what he would do with his hard-earned money. The fighter will not leave it to his children and will teach them to do their hard work in the world.

All in all, he might have lost the fight, but he gained it too. There was even a talk between the fighters where Fury and Usyk decided to have a family get-together! Fans will be excited when this happens!
