Conor McGregor is yet again trying to be a matchmaker and is giving names to Dana White and Mick Maynard for the UFC. The former two-weight champion has another Irish warrior woman who he wants UFC to sign. he has thrown a challenge to the UFC head honcho and even though he has been out of action, he wants another fighter to be recruited.

He recently showed support for the Irish Warrior and supported her post on X. So let’s see what he said.

Conor McGregor supports new Irish fighter

McGregor showed his support for Danni McCormack who trains out of the SBG in Ireland which is the same place that forged the former two-weight champ. He posted under the Irish strawweight Danni McCormack’s X post and said, “Mick Maynard my man what’s the craic, we have a story and a journey to witness here! Irish Warrior Woman! Tough as it gets! Let’s roll.”

They both trained out of the same gym and recently she requested the UFC head honcho and the UFC matchmaker to take her in. McGregor’s enthusiasm was palpable as he supported the fighter who won against Road to UFC Season 3 Episode 5. She won against Yan Qihui and after the fight, she even announced on the microphone that she wanted to fight at UFC.

McGregor loved everything about the callout and posted on X. He said, “THIS IS A PROMO!… Finishing with a callout of the UFC’s strawweight champion who is from the same region as her just beaten opponent. Magic! IRISH GOER WAR CRY! [Dana White] announces her signing brother this is magic! FORGED ARMY!”  ‘Mystic Mac’ has sponsored the young fighter through his brands including Black Forge Inn and Forged Irish Stout. The 34-year-old is undefeated in her last 4 fights and called for a UFC contract.

Even though she is older than the usual UFC prospects, she has proved her caliber as a fighter. Not only did she win over Yan Qihui but has also been the reigning strawweight in Invicta FC. She made her debut in 2019 and has an amazing career as an amateur. Now McGregor is trying to get her into UFC.

The ‘Road To UFC’ saw the Bellator champ win against her opponent and take one step more towards her UFC contract. So what is next for the Irish MMA star? In her post-fight interview, she said “…into the UFC in my division, strawweight. After beating me 1st China girl, I have another one in mind, and she’s wearing a gold belt. That’s my number 2. I’m not stopping until I get that strawweight title fight, so give me a contract.”

‘The Notorious’ was also involved in this journey and posted a video of her post-fight interview. He continued to pester his boss with his trademark determination and persuasion powers. McGregor has already been waiting for his turn for almost 3 years after the fight and surgery. he was supposed to comeback at UFC 303 but a toe injury took that away. Now he expects to come back in December but the boss has not revealed anything.
