When ‘The Notorious ‘decided to give his candidature as the president, the manager of the Hall of Famer decided to give him a reality check. Team Khabib’s manager Ali Abdelaziz posted a jibe that brought back some very controversial tales from the past. He said, “@TheNotoriousMMA, tell the people why you got kicked out of Monaco and why the real reason you’re not fighting.”

The fighter’s interest in politics is not surprising. This is because if you have been following his X profile for a long time, you already know that he has been outspoken about the issues of his country in the past. Now, returning to what team Khabib said about Monaco, let’s go down memory lane, shall we?

What happened in Monaco with Conor McGregor?

Let’s go back to 2020 and see the story of a peaceful vacation in the south of France with Conor McGregor. However, it was not as blissful as he expected it to be. His beautiful vacation ended with the shock of his life when the Irish mixed martial artist was taken into police custody and questioned in Corsica for alleged attempted indecent exposure, according to prosecutors.

The dual-weight champ denied those allegations and even his manager had rejected the claims. His manager, Audie Attar, added, “I am irate and putting out a warning loud and clear: Conor McGregor is not and will not be a target for those seeking to score a headline or a payday.”

This is not all, he also attended the Monaco Grand Prix in 2022 and arrived at the event in great suave. He docked at the event on his 3.2 million dollar superyacht. However, he had picked an American team for the games because he was a guest of Haas. But Mick Schumacher got a red flag because he got trapped in a crash and the speedster was injured badly.

On top of that, a video of ‘Mystic Mac’ went viral in 2023, where he was seen partying throughout this venue and enjoying himself. This infuriated the fans because he was not training for the fight that was supposed to happen with Michael Chandler. So all in all, these reasons were brought up by Team Khabib to show that maybe McGregor should not be the president of Ireland.
