Conor McGregor, Who Constantly Gets Disrespected by Fellow UFC Fighters, Wouldn’t Offer a ‘Reward’ to Anyone ‘Bringing up His ’Family Stuff’

Conor McGregor would easily go down in the history books as the most financially successful fighter in the UFC. Furthermore, with this huge achievement under his belt, he might also be one of the most called-out fighters in the promotion. 

‘The Notorious’ constantly gets involved in internet arguments with other fighters. McGregor fans see it as a tactic that the opposition applies to get a fight against him. After all, it would result in a massive payday.

Moreover, despite being out of action for a prolonged period due to an injury, he still remains the talk of the town for other fighters looking to sell massive PPVs. Even former lightweight champion, Charles Oliveira has shown a key interest in fighting the Irishman.

Dan Hooker sees no point in fighters insulting Conor McGregor

Although McGregor is called out by so many fighters, not all call-outs could turn to fruition. The ‘Mystic Mac’ is known to answer all his call-outs. However, after a brief stint, they turn stale and the next one comes in.

Speaking on the same, UFC lightweight, Dan Hooker shared his thoughts on people insulting McGregor to get a fight. In a recent interview, he explained how he sees no logic in people insulting the Irishman.

He said that other fighters needed to understand that whoever faced McGregor would be financially secure whether he won or lost the fight. 

‘The Hangman‘ further added, “So, why would he want to reward someone who’s saying that he’s not a good family man? Or constantly berating him and disrespecting him? It doesn’t make much sense to me when some of these guys attack him.”

The kiwi then pointed out that McGregor doesn’t get to decide who he fights. He questioned fighters trying to manipulate McGregor by calling him out.

Furthermore, Hooker concluded by being appreciative towards McGregor and stated that any fighter who could handle criticism the best had to be McGregor.

The Irishman has been on the sidelines ever since his freak injury at UFC 264. However, according to several reports, he will make a comeback next year.
