Cris Cyborg Says Kayla Harrison Is Avoiding a Fight Like Ronda Rousey

Bellator MMA’s Cris Cyborg is one of the best MMA fighters the world has come across. Her dominant wins prove this. After cleaning the entire featherweight division, she is looking forward to facing someone new.

Kayla Harrison, who has competed under PLF for the majority of her MMA career, is one of the best challenges for Cyborg. Harrison has never lost a single bout in her MMA career. Both the athletes have shown interest in facing each other. With Harrison being a free agent, this dream bout could possibly happen in the future.

However, fans aren’t sure about what Harrison’s next move will be. Regardless of this uncertainty, Cyborg hopes to fight Harrison.

Speaking about her rival, Cyborg said (h/t MMA Fighting), “I believe this fight with Kayla might happen, but I don’t believe she’ll leave PFL.”

Cyborg feels that Harrison doesn’t have enough fans. She also hopes that the rivalry with Harrison does not end up like her rivalry with Ronda Rousey. Cyborg and Rousey were perfect to face each other but never fought.

Speaking about Rousey, she said, “Rhonda never wanted this fight. In fact, Kayla is doing what Rhonda did. If you think about it, Rhonda started talking about me when I was the Strikeforce champion, trying to tarnish my image, trying to say a bunch of stuff, because people didn’t know who she was. And then people started to get to know who Rhonda was. And Kayla is going down the same path.”

Cyborg feels Rousey’s judo was more menacing than Harrison’s. Rhonda believed in finishing her opponents and hence, she would have been a much threatening fighter to face in the cage.
